Why Captions Matter
Captions are a bridge to accessibility and inclusion. For millions of people who are deaf or hard of hearing, captions are essential for understanding and engaging with video content. Captions also help students follow along in noisy environments and understand dialogue spoken with an accent. By adding captions, you’re not only making content more inclusive for people with disabilities, but also creating a better, more user-friendly experience for everyone.
