Improving Home Pages Using Cidi Labs

To access Cidi Labs in Canvas, go to the page you wish to edit and click Edit.

Once you're in edit mode:

For Mac: Hold down the Option key, then press Shift and D at the same time
For PC: Hold down the Alt key, then press Shift and D at the same time

This will open Cidi Labs on the right side of your Canvas page.

You can choose any theme you prefer for your homepage, or use the standard theme typically used by your department. A popular option at WJC is the Flat Sections 1 theme.

Follow these steps in Cidi Labs to select an existing theme:

1. Click on Theme.

2. Click on Legacy Themes.

3. Click on the theme, e.g. Flat Sections 1.

1. Click on Theme.

2. Click on Link Grid.

3. You can increase or decrease the number of buttons as needed.
